Past
PYS IPSONAS LTD commenced operations in 1972 at its first factory installation at Ipsonas, Limassol. This factory was the company’s initial foothold in the precast industry. The company was acknowledged at the main provider of precast elements in the early stages of the Cyprus construction sector, successfully meeting the demands of the market at the time.
Twenty years later, in 1992, the company established a new second factory at Geri, Nicosia. This factory implemented twenty years of advances in technology and automation thus allowing the company to expand its scope of work and thus providing a wider range of precast concrete products.
In 2010 the first factory installation at Ipsonas relocated to its new facilities in Ayios Silas, Limassol. The continuous expansion of product range of the company required bigger premises to accommodate the upgrade of machinery and new technologies introduced. This move was a significant highlight in the company’s development as it magnified the company’s potential to new advancements to a large extent.
Present
The company collaborates with other private sector companies and participates in joint ventures as a key stakeholder. Furthermore, we also collaborate both directly and indirectly with the public sector for infrastructure and development projects as the main subcontractor for precast elements. We specialize our scope in sustainable technologies for reinforced soil retention walls, anti-flooding, sewage and oil and gas development projects. We not only provide precast solutions for infrastructure development but also high-quality products for architectural solutions.
Having in mind that our work ethic is to always improve we are collaborating with various international companies. In this scope we have also collaborated and carried out a series of projects UK’s Sovereign Bases in Cyprus.
We always strive to provide high quality products with the minimum environmental impact. Hence, the company is accredited annually by TUV Nord and is certified under ISO 9000 and ISO 14001.
Future
PYS IPSONAS LTD is focused on the continuous growth and development of its facilities and product range. The company is constantly investing in both the upgrade and expansion of its production facilities and also in one of the most valuable assets, its people. Throughout the ranks the company comprises of a unique blend of individuals adding up to the years of experience, the industry and technical know-how, and the understanding of the versatility of precast concrete that is essential in leading the company into the future and ensuring its ongoing success.
